THE BOOKS
One day a boy named Tom was cleaning out his family garage and tripped over a old bike frame. He stumbled upon a chest which he cautiously opened ......
Inside the chest there were three books and a note that read
“Dear Tom, I am assuming that you're about 14 now which is a very good age to try these in good heart and with an open mind.
love Dad....”
Tom had never seen his Dad before and he assumed that he looked like his Dad. Blond haired, blue eyed young man. He too was a very adventurous person and would try anything a normal person wouldn’t. But he is not a show off when he does these things.
After reading the note from his Dad he took the three books to his room and hid them in his school bag. After dinner Tom began to read the three book series. Tom flipped to the first page, “The Shapeshifters Guide.” Tom read on and on all night until the night became day and the series was finished. At this moment Tom felt very informed.
For the next couple of weeks Tom had some weird changes. Such as headaches, muscle aches, toothaches and sharp teeth. Tom believed that these things had come from the series that he had read. Tom wanted the pain to go away.
The next day Tom walked to his friends house with the series of books. As he told his friend about what he had read his friend thought Tom was crazy. Tom at this point was all by himself and had no one to go to for help. He read the ending of the last book and found a cure to his powers that he no longer wanted and took action on that. Now Tom is now living with his dad and learning new powers from his Dad’s collection of magical spell books and enchantment’s. Tom is now living happily ever after.
Well done Isaiah. Your next learning steps are to always use a consistent tense, to remember to capitalise names and titles and to add more character description of the main characters throughout the story. You made good use of paragraphs and used some great descriptive language such as “informed” and “tripped.” Mr B.
