Kyla's Recount

   Glentui Camp

We went on a camp trip for a week. First we went to school at 8:30am and got everything ready to go. Then we left at 9:30am.

“The fun began.” We got to the camp; there was a pool and so much fun stuff to do. First we took out all our bags and went to the hall. 

Oh, the excitement in my body. They said some rules and went to our bunks. Packed all of our stuff and went to the hall. I was in the 3^rd group such fun. The first group went to abseiling. The second group went to the outdoor cooking and my group went to the river study.

We went down a lot of stairs. There were 276 of them. When we got there, we went straight down. They said some things and it began. It is amazing to see how many things live in the river. There were sand flies, worms and so much more. 

Then we changed activities and we did outdoor games. We played Non-stop cricket. It was fun. Then we went up the stairs and it was so hard. I think I lost some weight climbing up those stairs. 

My group then did initiative games with Mrs Black.

“Oh no” we said. But it was fun. We then went for dinner. We had vegetables and chicken. After dinner we had pudding and ice-cream with chocolate sauce. Then we went to bed.

The morning came. It was my group’s turn to go abseiling. The lady said some safety rules on how to go down and how to spread your legs. After that, it was my turn to go down. I was the first girl in my group that went down the cliff.

 The last night Mr Barr told us we can play a game. He said what game and we said spot-light. It was fun but I always got colt in the game.  The game finished. Went up again and got hot-chalet with mini marsh mellows. Cookies to. It was my first time at camp. What fun.
