Glentui Camp
On Tuesday I arrived
at school and packed my gear into the car. It seemed like forever before
everyone got to school before we could take off to camp Glentui.
We stopped for Burger King on the way to camp. We arrived at ten o’clock and
moved what seemed like the heaviest bags at camp to our cabin with Tim then we
were told we were upstairs in Cabin Ten without the zero. It was eleven o’clock
when the first rotation started. We were told to meet in the common room to be
sorted into our groups for the rotations.
I was in group two.
We were doing indoor initiative games. I learnt some new and interesting games
like horse-shoes. The next rotation was abseiling. Abseiling took forever to
finish when it finally finished we could go back to camp.
When I finally got
back to camp there were people swimming in the pool. I went up to my cabin. The
day’s activities were over. That evening we had pasta and mince. I’m not such a
fan of pasta mince. After dinner we went to bed and half the cabin was talking.
I was very grateful when they stopped.
The next day I woke
up to the sound of talking. We all stayed in our sleeping bags talking to each
other. Soon we were to eat breakfast in the hall.
Today’s activities
were River Study and outdoor cooking. I’m going to like today’s activities. We
lined up in our groups in the common room and made our way down the steps to
the river. We were sorted into groups and were given 2 nets, 2 spoons and 2
trays. Our tray was divided into sections. We also tested the water.
I thought camp was
really fun and I would like to go again some time!

Melissa’s assistance).
